Parents and Students,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I teach on a rotating schedule, so please feel free to refer to my blog anytime to help keep up with the latest happenings in my Physical Education and Health class. It's hard to believe that we are already at mid-terms! Here's what we've been up to so far:
In PE class, students have been playing Ultimate Frisbee. We also ran our first Mile Run Fitness Test in class last Friday, September 18th. Great job, students!
**(For those students that need to make up the Mile Run, the make-up day is set for this Tuesday, September 22nd at 2:40 p.m. at the benches behind the gymnasium. Students, please make the needed arrangements to be there.)
In Health class, students were given a "PE/Health Course Outline" and "Human Sexuality Consent Form" at the beginning of the year. Both forms require a parent signature, and should already be turned back in to me. Students have been getting to know each other by presenting their "Personality Boxes" to me and their classmates. Students were also given a "Health Poem" assignment last Thursday for homework, which is due Monday, September 21st.
I have enjoyed getting to know all of my students the past few weeks. I'm really excited for this 2009/10 school year, and I look forward to working with each and every one of my students! Let's do all we can to make this a great year!
Thanks for your support,
Coach Crooks : )
