Starter #1 - "What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." --Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today, students received a new "Starters" worksheet. Students also finished sharing their "Life Sketches" in class. The rest of the class time, students worked on their "Surviving High School" Assessments, which are due in Health class on Thursday October 22nd.
Take Away: Take the time to get to know others - find out who they really are.
*Character Development* - Build relationships.
Homework - "Surviving High School" Assessment (Reflection Writing). Typed or handwritten is accepted, as long as it's legible. Needs to be at least one page, but remember - quality over quantity. This is due on Thursday October 22nd.
Students are to write on ONE of the following questions:
1. Reflect on the video and what you have learned form the past couple weeks in Health class.
2. Write a letter to yourself five years from now. What advice would you remind yourself about from the video/class activities?
3. Write a letter of apology to someone you have hurt. (Example: bully to Franklin)
4. Write a thank you letter to someone who has stuck up for you, or taught you a valuable lesson in treating others the right way. (It could be a friend, classmate, parent, sibling, teacher, coach, etc.)
