Today, we talked about Fats and Fat grams. Students were given a green "Let's Go Eat!" worksheet for the activity that we did in class today. In this activity, students pretended to go on a road trip. They needed to pick what they were going to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for the day. They only had so many food choices given to them to pick from because sometimes, like when we go on road trips, we don't have many choices to choose from about where we eat. One lesson from this activity was designed to help students understand that sometimes it's a struggle to make sure that we're eating healthy because it's not always easy to do so. We must really become aware of the foods that we are eating, and make healthy choices.

On Friday, we will review for our 2nd Quarter Health Test, which will be next Tuesday December 22nd (before we leave for Winter Break). Students will be given a Review Study Guide, as well as all of their assignments from 2nd Quarter to help them study for the upcoming test.

Take Away: Realize the amount of fat in foods.
*Continuous Learning* - Be able to identify and choose healthy food choices.

Homework - Purchase a heart rate monitor strap ($5.00) in the main office if you haven't already.
