Starter #4 - "Why can't teens drink if their parents can? Teens' brains and bodies are still developing; alcohol use can cause learning problems or lead to adult alcoholism. People who begin drinking by age 15 are five times more likely to abuse or become independent on alcohol than those who begin drinking after age 20."
Today students graded their "Chapter 12: Alcohol Vocab" packets in class. Students learned about short-term and long-term effects of alcohol. They also learned about Blood Alcohol Content (BAC).
Reminder: Coach Crooks and Coach Rasmussen will be in the GYM for Student-Led Conferences this week, NOT in the Health room. Thanks!
Take Away: Be able to understand what Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is and the effects that it has on the body.
*Continuous Learning* - Learn the lifelong effects of Alcohol.
Homework - Purchase a heart rate monitor strap ($5.00) in the main office if you haven't already.
