Starter 2# - "Club drugs" refers to a number of illegal mind-altering substances often taken at clubs, parties, bars, and all-night dance parties called "raves". The truth is that many "club drugs" can produce profound damage to the brain and other organs.
Students finished their Cocaine and Crack worksheet and turned it in - it was due today.
Today students learned about different "Club Drugs", such as MDMA (Ecstacy), Rohypnol ("Roofies"), Ketamine ("Special K"), and GHB. Students were given a worksheet in class today. They need to bring it to health class on Tuesday so they can complete it and turn it in - it will be due next time.
Take Away: Club drugs include a number of "designer drugs" in which many abusers develop a cycle of tolerance, physical dependance, and addiction. Physical and psychological damage occur as these club drugs change the brain's chemistry.
*Continuous Learning* - Learn the facts on how drugs affect a person's physical, mental, and social health.
