Monday April 12 (Health)

Starter #5 - "Marijuana affects all systems of the body including the heart, lungs, and brain. Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart rate, normally 70 to 80 beats per minute, may increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute or, in some cases, even double."

Students turned in their "Starters" and their "Drug Word Search" worksheets - they were due today. Today students learned about the Marijuana drug. Students were given a worksheet in class today. They need to bring it to health class on Wednesday so they can complete it and turn it in - it will be due next time.

Take Away: Marijuana is arguably the most widely used illegal drug, with short and long-term effects and consequences that impact a person's brain, body, and future.
*Continuous Learning* - Learn the facts on how drugs affect a person's physical, mental, and social health.
