Thursday April 22 (Health)

Starter 3# - "Stimulants are drugs that speed up your activity level, give you more energy, and curb your appetite. Meth is one of the most frightening stimulants. It is snorted, injected, or smoked."

Today students learned about Methamphetamine ("Meth") and other stimulants. Students were given a worksheet in class today to complete and turn in - it was due today.

Take Away: The effects of stimulants on the body, including the deadly consequences of Meth use, cause many abusers to develop a cycle of tolerance, physical dependance, and addiction. Physical and psychological damage occur as these drugs change the brain's chemistry.
*Continuous Learning* - Learn the facts on how drugs affect a person's physical, mental, and social health.
