Starter 1# - "Tobacco is a woody, shrub-like plant with large leaves. It is estimated that there are more than 4,000 chemicals in tobacco, many of which have been proven to cause cancer."
Today, students received a new Starters worksheet (gold) today in class. Students also watched "The Truth About Tobacco" DVD. We talked about the facts about tobacco, health risks of tobacco use, tobacco addiction, tobacco's costs to society, and choosing to be tobacco free.
Reminder: Students will be taking Health Test #4 on Drugs and Tobacco in class soon. Please make sure that you study and are prepared for the upcoming test in health class.
Take Away: Learn about some of the effects that tobacco can have on a person.
