Wednesday May 5 (Health)

Starter #2 -
Short-term affects of smoking:
-Withdrawal symptoms
-Increased heart rate
-Reduced energy
-Tooth decay
-Dulled taste buds
-Upset stomach

Long-term affects of smoking:
-Greater risk of heart disease and stroke
-Increased risk of mouth and throat cancer
-Stomach ulcers

Today, students did an activity that related to Tobacco. Assignments on Drugs and Tobacco from this Quarter were passed back to the students so they can study them for their upcoming test. The test on Drugs and Tobacco is an "open note" test.

Update - NEW!!
Students will be taking Health Test #4 on Drugs and Tobacco on Monday May 10th (not tomorrow, as previously planned). It is an "open-note" test, but make sure that you study and are prepared next Monday for the upcoming test in health class.


Take Away: Learn about some of the effects that tobacco can have on a person.
*Continuous Learning* - Learn the facts on how tobacco affect a person's physical, mental, and social health.

Homework -
Don't forget to bring these things everyday to Health class. You will be receiving a daily grade for it in Health class throughout 4th Quarter:
